HDFC Bank Reports 9% Rise in Standalone Net Profit for Q4FY26
HDFC Bank, one of India's leading private lenders, has reported a 9% rise in standalone net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2026. The bank's net profit for the quarter stood at Rs 19,221 crore, up from Rs 17,616 crore in the year-ago period.
The bank also declared a final dividend of Rs 13 per share for FY26, with the record date for payment of the dividend set for June 19, 2026. This follows a special interim dividend of Rs 2.5 per equity share paid on August 11, 2025.

The bank's net revenue grew by 5% to Rs 46,280 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2026 from Rs 44,090 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2025. Net interest income for the quarter ended March 31, 2026 grew by 3.2% to Rs 33,080 crore from Rs 32,070 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2025.
The bank's asset quality improved in Q4FY26, with gross non-performing assets at 1.15% of gross advances as on March 31, 2026. Net non-performing assets were at 0.38% of net advances as on March 31, 2026.
The bank's total capital adequacy ratio (CAR) as per Basel III guidelines was at 19.7% as on March 31, 2026, up from 19.6% as on March 31, 2025. Tier 1 CAR was at 17.7% and common equity tier 1 capital ratio was at 17.3% as of March 31, 2026.

HDFC Bank's average deposits were Rs 28.5 lakh crore for the March 2026 quarter, a growth of 12.8% over Rs 25.2 lakh crore for the March 2025 quarter. The bank's average CASA deposits were Rs 9.18 lakh crore for the March 2026 quarter, a growth of 10.8% over Rs 8.28 lakh crore for the March 2025 quarter.
The bank's distribution network expanded to 9,689 branches and 21,172 ATMs across 4,175 cities/towns as of March 31, 2026, up from 9,455 branches and 21,139 ATMs across 4,150 cities/towns as of March 31, 2025.
Shares of HDFC Bank closed 0.6% higher at Rs 800 apiece on the BSE on April 17.
