
HCL Tech Declines 8% Following Earnings Release; PNC Infra and BEML Surge on Order Wins
Market Update: Corporate Developments Drive Activity on April 22
Several stocks remained in focus on April 22 as corporate developments, earnings updates, and regulatory triggers drove market activity. Key among these were HCL Technologies and Aurobindo Pharma, whose share prices were affected by recent announcements.
HCL Technologies' share price slipped more than 8 percent after posting smaller-than-expected fourth-quarter revenue and net profit. Despite this, the IT services firm reported a 4% rise in consolidated net profit at Rs 4,488 crore and revenue jumped 12.3% at Rs 33,981 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2026.
In contrast, Cyient DLM's shares jumped 4.5% despite a 27.7% fall in its Q4 net profit to Rs 22.4 crore against Rs 31 crore, year-over-year (YoY). On the other hand, Tata Elxsi's share price declined more than 2 percent despite better Q4 earnings with profit surging 27.8% to Rs 220.4 crore against Rs 172.4 crore, YoY.

Pharma major Aurobindo Pharma's shares traded marginally lower after the company set April 23 as the opening date for its Rs 800 crore buyback offer, with the closing date for the buyback being April 29.
Meanwhile, PNC Infratech's shares rose nearly 9 percent after the company emerged as the lowest (L1) bidder for two HAM-based national highway projects worth Rs 3,483 crore. BEML's shares also surged 5 percent after the company secured an order from the Ministry of Defence for the supply of trawl assemblies, with a contract value of Rs 590 crore.
