Gold Prices Plummet Across India Following US Federal Reserve's Decision

On March 19, the gold price in India experienced a significant decline, following the announcement of the US Federal Reserve's policy decision to maintain its interest rate unchanged for the second time in a row. This decision led to an immediate fall in gold prices, with the 10-gram gold price on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) hovering around ₹1,48,000, representing a 3% decline compared to the previous day's closing prices.

Spot gold also fell 1.1% to $4,764.27 per ounce, marking its lowest value since February 6. The following are the gold rates in major Indian cities:
