Foreign Investor Activity

On February 25, 2026, foreign investors (FIIs) reported a net sale of Rs 2,991 crore in Indian equities. Provisional exchange data indicates that FIIs purchased Rs 30,369 crore worth of shares, while selling Rs 27,378 crore. For the year so far, FIIs have been net sellers of Rs 36,283 crore.

In contrast, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) reported a net purchase of Rs 5,119 crore in Indian equities on February 25. During the trading session, DIIs bought Rs 18,346 crore worth of shares, but sold Rs 13,227 crore. For the year so far, DIIs have net bought Rs 90,314 crore.

Market Performance

The Indian equity markets concluded the session on February 25, 2026, on a largely flat note. The Sensex ended higher by 50.15 points (0.06%) at 82,276.07, while the Nifty 50 added 57.85 points (0.23%) to close at 25,482.50.
