ED Freezes Bank Deposits, Seizes Assets Worth Rs 526 Crore in Money Laundering Case Against Gameskraft
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken a significant step in its investigation into the online gaming platform Gameskraft, freezing bank deposits worth Rs 526.49 crore and seizing assets worth Rs 3.5 crore in gold jewellery and Rs 11 lakh in cash. The move is part of the ED's efforts to crack down on money laundering and cheating by the company.
The ED launched searches against Gameskraft on May 7 in Delhi-NCR and the capital city of Karnataka, concluding the operation on May 13. The agency has frozen movable assets including bank deposits, bonds, and fixed deposits worth a total of Rs 526.49 crore under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.
In a related development, the ED had arrested three founders of Gameskraft - Deepak Singh, Prithvi Raj Singh, and Vikas Taneja - following the raids. The central agency filed a money laundering case against Gameskraft Technologies Ltd and other associated entities, taking cognisance of multiple police FIRs related to alleged cheating and fraud.

Gameskraft, it appears, was operating several online real-money games, including 'RummyCulture' and 'RummyTime' app, among others. The Indian government had banned online money gaming in August 2025, a move that may have contributed to the ED's decision to crack down on the company.
