Uncertainty Surrounds INDIA Bloc Meeting Amid Leadership Changes
Ahead of the INDIA bloc meeting on Monday, Communist Party of India (CPI) National General Secretary D. Raja expressed open uncertainty regarding the nature of the high-level meeting set to take place in the national capital.
The meeting comes at a time when 23 political parties of the opposition INDIA bloc are set to gather to redraw their strategy to take on the BJP and iron out differences amid changed power dynamics after the defeat of regional anchors TMC and DMK in the recent assembly polls.
MK Stalin-led DMK has pulled out of the INDIA bloc following its differences with the Congress party. Senior CPI leader D. Raja stated that the DMK has made a public statement mentioning that it has certain issues with the Congress Party and its conduct, and therefore, it is not going to attend this meeting. They have made it very clear and have issued this statement publicly, not only in Tamil Nadu but across the country, so the DMK's position is clear.
