Climbing Oil Prices Lead to Hike in Commercial LPG Rates
In response to the escalating West Asia conflict, which has disrupted global energy supply chains and driven up oil prices by nearly 50 per cent, commercial LPG rates have been increased by Rs 195.50 on Wednesday, as reported by PTI.
According to state-owned oil companies, the cost of a 19-kg commercial LPG in Delhi has risen to Rs 2,078.50. This increase comes on the heels of a previous rate hike on March 1, when prices were increased by Rs 114.5 per 19-kg cylinder.
In contrast, the domestic cooking LPG prices remain steady, with a 14.2-kg cylinder currently priced at Rs 913 in Delhi, following a Rs 60 per 14.2-kg cylinder price increase on March 7.

The impact of the global oil price surge is evident in the frozen petrol and diesel prices, which have remained unchanged since a Rs 2 per-litre reduction in March last year. As of now, petrol costs Rs 94.72 per litre in Delhi, while diesel is priced at Rs 87.62 per litre.
