Chinese Robotics Company Introduces All-Terrain Robot for Hazardous Tasks

A Chinese robotics company, DEEP Robotics, has unveiled a groundbreaking all-terrain robot called the LYNX M20S, which has the potential to revolutionize the way some of the most perilous jobs are performed. The robot can reach speeds of over 32 km/h, making it surprisingly fast for a machine that can also climb, balance, and navigate through rough terrain.

Built for real-world applications, the LYNX M20S is designed for tasks such as rescue missions, industrial inspections, and security patrols in areas where human presence is hazardous. Demo videos have showcased the robot's capability to wade through water and climb steep forest slopes without losing stability.

What sets the LYNX M20S apart is its unique mobility system, which combines wheels and legs to adapt to changing environments. On flat ground, it moves quickly like a vehicle, while on uneven terrain, it can step over obstacles and adjust like an animal, allowing it to maintain its speed and agility.

The LYNX M20S is part of the wider LYNX M20 series, which has garnered global attention and won prestigious awards, including the CES 2026 Innovation Award and a German iF Design Award.
