Market Movements on May 4

The Indian stock market witnessed significant bulk and block deals on May 4, with several prominent companies experiencing substantial transactions.

Bulk Deals

Dhara Rail Projects was among the companies involved in bulk deals, with India Max Investment Fund Limited selling 0.80 lakh shares, representing 0.53 percent of the company's total shares, at a price of Rs 124.66 per share. Additionally, KRM Ayurveda saw Pine Oak Global Fund selling 1.13 lakh shares, equivalent to 0.53 percent of its total shares, at Rs 235.62 per share. Macobs Technologies was also involved in a bulk deal, with Connect Fund selling 1.65 lakh shares, accounting for 1.68 percent of its total shares, at Rs 244.48 per share.

Block Deals

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone was a major focus of block deals on May 4. Capital Group International All Countries Equity Trust (US) purchased 2.46 crore shares at Rs 1,632.45 per share, while Capital Income Builder acquired 37.81 lakh shares. Europacific Growth Fund also bought 1.74 crore shares at the same price. In contrast, Worldwide Emerging Market Holding Limited sold 37.81 lakh shares, 1.74 crore shares, and 2.46 crore shares, all at Rs 1,632.45 per share.

Siemens Energy India (Enrin) was another company involved in block deals, with BNP Paribas Financial Markets buying 0.89 lakh shares at Rs 3,256.80 per share. Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE sold 0.89 lakh shares at the same price.

Sunflag Iron and Steel Company was also part of block deals, with Vallabh Roopchand Bhanshali purchasing 8.35 lakh shares and 11.65 lakh shares at Rs 300 per share. Bhupendra Gokaldas Sanghavi sold 11.65 lakh shares, while Bhavini Dhirendra Sanghavi sold 8.35 lakh shares at the same price.

Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles (TMCV) was involved in a block deal, with BNP Paribas Financial Markets buying 7.18 lakh shares at Rs 405.80 per share. Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE sold 7.18 lakh shares at the same price.
