India's Stock Market Focus Shifts to Lenskart and GMR Airports Following Block Deals

The Indian stock market is expected to remain focused on two major companies, Lenskart Solutions and GMR Airports, on Thursday, following significant block deals in their equity shares. According to data from the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), bulk and block deals were executed in the shares of these companies on June 3.

Lenskart Block Deal

SVF II Lightbulb (Cayman), an investment vehicle owned by SoftBank Group, sold 5.65 crore Lenskart shares on June 3, representing a 3.25% stake in the company. The shares were sold at ₹508.55 apiece, resulting in a total deal value of ₹2,873.30 crore. Several global entities and domestic mutual funds participated in the purchase of Lenskart shares, including Societe Generale - ODI, Goldman Sachs Bank Europe, International Monetary Fund, and several others. All transactions were executed at ₹508.55 per share.

GMR Airports Block Deal

GQG Partners Emerging Markets Equity Fund sold 19.5 crore equity shares of GMR Airports on June 3, representing a 1.84% stake in the company. The shares were sold at ₹97.75 apiece, resulting in a total deal value of ₹1,906.12 crore. Fidelity Investment Trust, through Fidelity International Small Cap Fund, was the buyer of these shares at ₹97.75 per share.
