Bayer's FarmRise Mobile App Reaches 5 Million Registered Farmers in India
Germany's Bayer AG has announced that its mobile app FarmRise has reached a significant milestone, with 5 million registered farmers in India. This achievement makes FarmRise one of the most impactful agri-tech platforms in the country.
The platform, which is built around the real needs of farmers, offers a range of services, including agronomy advice, local weather updates, mandi prices, government schemes, and crop-specific content, all within a single interface. This comprehensive approach has been designed to make it easy for farmers to use, even those who are new to smartphones.
FarmRise supports over nine Indian languages, including Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu, allowing farmers from diverse backgrounds to access the platform. The app's user-friendly interface is a key feature of its success, and it is designed to serve as the central engagement platform for Bayer's Direct2Farmer (D2F) ecosystem.
