
Banks to Close for Four Days Next Week, Review Holiday Schedule Before Visiting a Branch

Key Dates:
- March 27: All banks in Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Sikkim, Telangana, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Andhra Pradesh will be closed on account of Shree Ram Navami (Chaite Dasain).
- March 28: All scheduled and non-scheduled banks will be closed across the country as it is the fourth Saturday of the month.
- March 29: All banks will be closed nationwide as it is a Sunday.
- March 31: Banks in Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Kanpur, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Patna, Raipur, Ranchi, and Vijayawada will be closed on account of Mahavir Janmakalyanak / Mahavir Jayanti.
- April 1: Both public and private sector banks will be closed nationwide to close and reconcile their books for the previous financial year, prepare financial reports, and audit records.
- April 2: Banks in Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram will be closed on account of Maundy Thursday.
- April 3: Banks will be closed on account of Good Friday in all cities except Agartala, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Jaipur, Jammu, and Srinagar.
- April 14: Banks will be closed across most cities on account of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti / Maha Vishuva Sankranti / Biju / Buisu Festival / Tamil New Year’s Day / Bohag Bihu / Cheiraoba / Baisakhi.
- April 15: Banks will remain closed in several cities, including Agartala, Guwahati, Itanagar, Kochi, Kolkata, Shimla, and Thiruvananthapuram, on account of multiple regional festivals.
- April 16: Banks in Guwahati will remain closed for Bohag Bihu.
- April 20: Banks in Bengaluru will be closed on the occasion of Basava Jayanti and Akshaya Tritiya.

- During bank holidays, customers can continue to access services through net banking, mobile banking, UPI, and ATMs.
