Bajaj Finserv Launches Finserv Intelligence to Invest in Next-Generation Technologies
Bajaj Finserv has announced the launch of a new venture, Finserv Intelligence, to invest in next-generation, low-cost technologies built in India. The company has collaborated with the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, to establish a joint research centre and drive innovation in various sectors.
Finserv Intelligence will focus on investing in startups with strong scalability potential, particularly those involved in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, quantum technology, fintech, and consumer technology. Over the next five years, Bajaj Finserv companies will invest between Rs 1,500 crore and Rs 2,000 crore in AI innovation startups, managed by a dedicated investment team.
A memorandum of understanding (MoU) and Master Collaboration Agreement have been signed between Bajaj Finserv and IIT Bombay to establish a joint research centre. This partnership will enable startups to plug directly into Bajaj Finserv's enterprise ecosystem, leveraging its governance frameworks, financial discipline, operational depth, and market insight.
Finserv Intelligence will operate through an integrated model that combines academic collaborations, investments in the start-up ecosystem, and in-house specialists. The venture aims to build an innovation ecosystem with a five-to-ten-year horizon for realisable impact.
