Bajaj Finance Reports 22% Rise in Net Profit
Bajaj Finance, a leading Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC), has announced a 22% rise in its net profit to Rs 5,465 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2026. The firm's net profit was helped by lower bad loan provisions. In comparison to the year-ago period, the net profit stood at Rs 4,480 crore.
The Q4FY26 net profit was largely in line with analysts' estimate of Rs 5,490 crore, as per data compiled by LSEG. Bajaj Finance's consolidated revenue rose 18% to Rs 21,606 crore in Q4FY26, up from Rs 18,294 crore in the year-ago period.

The firm declared a dividend of Rs 6 per share, and the record date for the dividend shall be June 30, 2026. This includes a special payout of Rs 0.60 per equity share out of the exceptional gain on the sale of Bajaj Housing Finance shares.
Rajiv Bajaj, a member of the Bajaj Group, has announced that he will step down from the company's Board. He has expressed his willingness to step down and will not be offering himself for re-election at the ensuing annual general meeting. Accordingly, he will cease to be Non-Executive Director of the Company at the ensuing annual general meeting scheduled to be held on Thursday, 30 July 2026.
The firm's assets under management (AUM) grew by 21% to Rs 3,72,986 crore as of March 31, 2026 from Rs 3,08,832 crore as of March 31, 2025. Net interest income increased by 20% in Q4FY26 to Rs 10,716 crore from Rs 8,911 crore in Q4FY25.

Bajaj Finance's loan losses and provisions fell to Rs 2,008 crore compared to Rs 2,167 crore a year earlier. The company has been grappling with elevated bad loans, particularly in its micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) segment, and saw its provisions drop. Gross NPA and Net NPA as of March 31, 2026 stood at 0.27% and 0.11% respectively as against 0.29% and 0.11% as of March 31, 2025.
On April 29, Bajaj Finance shares closed 1% higher at Rs 932.8 apiece.
