The dispute between Anthropic and the Trump administration stems from the company's refusal to allow unrestricted military use of its technology. In response, the Pentagon designated Anthropic as a supply chain risk, and President Donald Trump ordered all federal employees to stop using the company's AI chatbot, Claude.

Lawsuit

Anthropic has alleged that the government actions violated the First Amendment and due process laws. The company is seeking an emergency order to temporarily reverse the Pentagon's decision and undo President Trump's order.
