Air India Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Delhi Following Suspected Engine Fire Indication
On Thursday evening, an Air India flight from Bengaluru made an emergency landing at the Delhi airport after a suspected engine fire indication was reported. According to sources cited by news agency PTI, the incident occurred on flight AI2802, an A320 aircraft operating from Bengaluru to Delhi.
The crew on board the aircraft followed all standard operating procedures and landed the aircraft safely in Delhi. All passengers and crew members disembarked normally and were safe. The incident was reported to have occurred during the aircraft's final approach into Delhi, when the cockpit crew received a fire indication from one of the engines. The indication was subsequently confirmed as true by the airline.
The aircraft was carrying more than 160 people onboard, according to sources. Data available on flight tracking website Flightradar24 showed that the aircraft landed at around 9:30 pm.

Air India has stated that it is immediately launching a full investigation into the incident in coordination with the relevant regulatory authorities. The airline has also committed to sharing further verified information as soon as it becomes available.
